Robert E. Detrich DDS
Dr. Detrich received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1972. After graduating, he spent 2 years working with the Indian Health division of the United States Public Health Service in Oklahoma. From 1974 until 1976 he was the Head of the Department of Dentistry at Mid-Maine Medical Center in Waterville, Maine where he ran a federal program for disadvantaged children. During this time he was also an associate instructor at Westbrook School of Dental Hygiene in Portland, Maine and an associate professor at Tuft’s University School of Dentistry. For the 1976-77 school year he was an associate professor of Pediatric Dentistry at the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia. Courtney Scott RDH, Hygienist
Courtney received her degree in Dental Hygiene at Farmingdale State University of New York. For the past 5 years she has enjoyed assisting patients to achieve and maintain a healthy smile. Courtney relocated to the Valley in February of 2008 and is enjoying getting to know our patients and growing community.
Isabel Morales, Dental Assistant
Isabel is originally from Mexico, moving to the United States 9 years ago. She stated taking ESL Classes at Harrisonburg High School and graduated in 2005. Isabel is our only fully bilingual dental assistant in Spanish and English. After high school she got her Certificate of Provider Health from the the Virginia State Health Department in 2006. Isabel is the mother of a beautiful 4 year old daughter. She enjoys helping patients feel comfortable in the dental chair and help them "Smile with Confidence". "Sonrie con Confiansa!"
Carina Detrich, Dental Assistant
Carina graduated from Virginia Tech in 2007 with a degree in Biology and joined our team in winter of 2009. Carina enjoys helping patients feel better about themselves by improving their smile. You can find Carina in her free time at the gym, spending time with friends or settling down with a good book.
Katie Turner, Receptionist
Katie has lived in the Shenandoah Valley her entire life. She graduated from Broadway High School and is the proud mother of her 14 year old daughter, Madison. She enjoys playing softball, family outings and enjoying the outdoors in her spare time. She is committed to providing extraordinary customer service to all our patients!
Donna Detrich, Human Resources/Office Manager
Donna is a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Harrisonburg League of Therapists and enjoys helping our staff stay motivated and working together in order for our patients to receive the best care. Donna has been an apiarist for the past 4 years. She cans her own honey each fall and enjoys gardening to keep her bees busy! Donna is also an active member of the Shenandoah Watercolor Society and a few of her pieces can be found in our office. Take a look the next time you come in!
